Buyer questions
Buyer questions (also called prompts) are what Vedor asks ChatGPT for you. Manage them on Visibility → ChatGPT questions. A project can track up to 100.
Add questions
- Click the + button next to Generate with Vedor.
- Type a question in the box and click Add and check. It is checked straight away.
To have Vedor research new ones, click Generate with Vedor. Vedor looks for questions buyers ask that you aren't tracking, adds the best ones and checks them.
Import questions from real customers
- Click +. The Questions from your customers card opens below.
- Paste call notes, emails, tickets or chat logs, or upload a file (.txt, .csv, .md, .json or .log).
- Click Find questions.
- Under Suggested questions, untick any you don't want and click Add selected.
Work with a question
Each row shows how often ChatGPT names you (Named in), estimated monthly AI searches for the topic, whether Google's AI Overview (O) and AI Mode (M) name you, and which brands are recommended instead. The icons on the right:
- Write an article that answers this (pencil, only where you aren't named): drafts an article in AI Writer. Once written, it becomes View article.
- Check again (refresh): asks ChatGPT this question again.
- Edit (pencil): change the wording, then Save and check.
- Remove (bin): stops tracking the question.
Click anywhere else on a row to read ChatGPT's answers. See Answers, competitors and cited sites.
Flags
- Branded: the question names you. It inflates your visibility, so the page shows your rate on branded vs other questions. Keep brand checks on Reputation → Brand facts and remove these here.
- Names a competitor: the question mentions a competitor by name.
- Duplicate: the question nearly repeats another one.
Gotchas
- Editing saves the new wording as a new question. The old wording keeps its history.
- Removing a question hides it but keeps its history.
- Google AI Overview and AI Mode results are shown for reference only. They are not part of your AI score.
- Checking questions costs credits. See Plans, credits and billing.
