Brand facts and AI readiness

Brand facts is your fact sheet, and the place to see what ChatGPT gets wrong about you. AI readiness checks how well AI can read your website. Both are under the Reputation tab.

Fill in your brand facts

The fact sheet covers your positioning, offer, proof, locations and what you are not. Articles and Vedor's replies treat it as true.

  1. Go to Reputation → Brand facts and click Edit under the Fact sheet.
  2. To start from your website, click Draft from website. Vedor reads your site and fills in the text. Nothing is saved until you press Save.
  3. Replace every [add: …] gap with real facts and click Save.

See what ChatGPT gets wrong

  1. Save a fact sheet first.
  2. Click Check what ChatGPT says. Vedor asks ChatGPT a few questions about you directly and compares every answer that names you with your facts.
  3. Under What ChatGPT gets wrong, each finding (a wrong fact, a negative theme or an off-message description) comes with the answers behind it, a suggested Fix on your site, and a Correction request you can copy and send to the source.

Asked about your brand lists those direct questions with their tone. They never count towards your visibility score. The check also runs by itself each week after a check, once you have a fact sheet.

Check your site's AI readiness

Go to Reputation → AI readiness.

  • Scan site (Scan again later) checks AI bots in robots.txt, firewall or CDN blocks, noindex and nosnippet, text readable without JavaScript, sitemap, schema, a visible date and llms.txt, with what to do for each. It gives an AI readiness score from 0 to 100. The scan is free.
  • Page checker: enter one page address and click Check page. Vedor scores it against what answer engines quote and writes the exact edits.
  • llms.txt: Draft llms.txt writes a list of your key pages for AI agents. Low impact, do it last.
  • Markdown version: Convert turns a page into clean Markdown for AI agents. Low impact.
  • Product feed check: Check feed finds missing fields, duplicates, and prices or stock that don't match your product pages.

Gotchas

  • The AI readiness score (how well AI can read your site) is not the AI score on Overview (how visible you are in ChatGPT's answers).
  • Problems found by the scan also appear as Site check recommendations and drop off once a scan sees them fixed.
  • Check what ChatGPT says and the page checker use credits.
