Write articles with AI Writer

AI Writer drafts articles designed to get you named in ChatGPT's answers. Find it on Grow → AI Writer. Each draft is written in your project's language and uses your brand facts.

Start an article

Pick whichever fits:

  • From a recommendation: on Grow → Recommendations, open a New content or Page update card and click Write article.
  • From a question you lose: click the pencil on a row in Visibility → ChatGPT questions, Write article on a question's answers, or Write under Questions you're missing in AI Writer.
  • From scratch: in AI Writer, type a title, pick a page type and click New article. Then press Generate draft in the editor.

Drafts take a minute or two and appear under Your articles.

Page types: Answer page, Comparison, Alternatives page, Pricing explainer, FAQ page, Data report and News article.

Finish and publish a draft

  1. Open the article. Why it should win lists the questions it targets, and Improvements lists what to add.
  2. Edit the text in the editor. Replace every [add: …] gap with real facts; the header shows how many gaps are left. Set the Web address (slug) and Google snippet (meta description), then Save.
  3. Optional: under Expert interview, click Interview questions, answer them (or send them to your expert), Save answers, then Generate draft to weave the answers in as quotes.
  4. Click Run quality check. It checks that the gaps are filled, there is an author, a date and at least two linked sources, that it isn't a copy of another article, and that it adds something the pages ChatGPT cites today don't.
  5. When every check passes on the current text, click Mark ready.
  6. Publish: use Copy (rich text for pasting into your CMS) or Download .md, or publish straight to your connected website (see below).

Repurpose (under YouTube and LinkedIn) writes a video script, YouTube title and description, a LinkedIn article, three LinkedIn posts and a Q&A or forum answer from the article.

Publish to your website

Owners can connect a WordPress or Payload CMS site in Account settings → Integrations, and set Auto-post (articles a week, and whether to post live when the quality check passes). See Account settings.

With WordPress connected, an article shows Send to WordPress as draft (nothing goes live), and once ready Publish on WordPress. With Payload, articles are sent only once they are ready.

More ideas and Coverage

  • More ideas tab: News articles (add RSS or Atom feeds or click Suggest feeds, then Find news topics and Write it), From your own data (upload a CSV and click Write data report; only totals and shares are used, never single rows or personal details), Survey kit (5 questions to send customers), and Suggest 5 topics for YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Coverage tab: per topic, which questions your site already answers (Answered: ChatGPT names you and cites your site), answers thinly (Thin: one of the two) or not at all (Missing), and where to add the answer.

Gotchas

  • Generate draft replaces any text already in the editor. You are asked to confirm first.
  • Editing a ready article sends it back to draft. Run the quality check again.
  • The [add: …] gaps mark facts Vedor doesn't have. Fill them with real facts before publishing.
  • Drafts, quality checks and repurposing use credits.
  • When an article first goes live through your connected website, its questions are asked again 7 and 21 days later, free, and the article shows Did it work?.
